OUR STORY

Built for Careful Collectors

We make rare-plant buying clearer through exact photos, established roots, honest condition notes, and thoughtful shipping.

The Plant Should Match

Shaqwaya Living began after we ordered a rare variegated plant we had saved for months to buy. The listing showed a balanced, rooted specimen with mature leaves. The box held a smaller plant with weak roots, fresh cuts, and variegation that barely resembled the photos. It survived, but the experience made something clear: collectors were being asked to accept too much uncertainty for plants that required real money, time, and trust.

We built our shop around the details we had wanted as buyers. Every exact-specimen plant is photographed individually, with its current leaves, growth point, pot size, and visible imperfections represented honestly. Before a plant is listed, we examine its roots, stability, pest status, and readiness for transit. Orders are packed around the specimen and the forecast, using moisture control, leaf support, insulation, and heat or cold protection when conditions call for it. We also keep our selection focused. A smaller release of established plants lets us monitor each one carefully and answer care questions with context rather than handing collectors a generic script.

We still inspect every outgoing plant as if it were joining our own collection. Rare does not need to mean risky; it should mean considered, well grown, and genuinely worth making room for.
